T&A describes its speakers as follows:

"The TAL 160 has very good fine detail, dynamics and imaging power. It has a fully decoupled mid-high baffle, on which two 17 cm cast drivers with feather-light aluminium cone and a super-tweeter dome with fabric cone and additional heat sink are mounted. In addition, there is a transmission line driven by two 26 cm cast magnesium woofers with extremely hard carbon cones (these drivers have very long voice coils and are therefore able to cleanly transmit the lowest frequencies at extreme levels). It has two separate FSR crossovers for the mid-high and bass ranges, which are mounted on silent blocks to dampen vibrations. It also has level switches for the tweeter, midrange and bass. The 50 mm thick laminate side panels with extremely stiffened inner cabinet and separate midrange chamber ensure freedom from resonance even at the highest levels."
