T&A describes its CD player as follows:

"The CD 1500 R is basically like our top model, the CD 3000 R, equipped with a wealth of ingenious detailed solutions, the most elaborate materials and components. Even the cabinet shows the uncompromising approach taken by the T+A developers. Solid steel and aluminum provide the necessary static mass, and the drive unit, which is decoupled several times, is encapsulated airtight and electromagnetically in its own metal housing. Each assembly is additionally shielded with copper-plated steel sheets. The CD 3000 Rhat three completely separate power supplies with oversized transformers and galvanic isolation. As in all CD players, a freely programmable signal processor handles the calculation of the five different oversampling filters. The converter is unique and extremely elaborate in two-way technology. Two 1-bit Sigma Delta stereo converters and four Multibit DAC 20-bit converters are built in double differential mode and double mono mode. The CD 1500 R has an excellent, extremely fast analog output stage, which is able to drive power amplifiers directly. Volume control is digital."
