(english version below).

Beides finden Sie hier in meinem Shop.

Also bitte z.B.

English Version:

There are also a few things to consider when wiring the Braun system to the A1 or A2 amplifier.

Due to the many requests, I present the correct cabling in this article.

As always, a few basic things first:

- first of all turn off all devices before starting wiring

- for the right channel we use the red cinch plugs for wiring - for the left channel we use the black ones

- on the Braun Atelier devices, the sockets for the right channel are at the bottom - those for the left channel are at the top

- red for the "+" contact and black for the "-" contact on the loudspeakers; please make sure that you always connect correctly (i.e. + with + and - with -)

The following devices are shown in the pictures in this article (from bottom to top):

CD player, cassette deck, tuner, amplifier, turntable. The type of device is irrelevant - here I describe the wiring for a typical Braun Atelier Series 1 or 2 system, as I also offer it in my shop (click here).

Connecting the CD player:

The cinch connections of the CD player (e.g. Braun CD2, CD2/3, CD3, CD4 or CD5) are connected to the corresponding inputs on the amplifier. To do this, simply use the AUX connection on the Braun A1 or Braun A2 - or if you have an A2 amplifier from the latest series, you can also use the CD input.

If you have a CD3, then it is best to use the FIXED output on the CD3. This provides a stable signal. The variable output next to it can (and must) be controlled via the controller next to it.

Connection of the cassette deck / tape deck:

You can connect the cassette deck to Tape 1 or Tape 2.

This device has 4 cinch sockets on the back: 2 outputs (signal goes to the amplifier) and 2 inputs (signal comes from the amplifier if you want to record something, for example). The outputs (output) on the cassette deck are connected to the inputs (Tape 1 in) on the Braun A1 or Braun A2. The inputs on the cassette deck (input) are connected to the outputs on the amplifier (Tape 1 out). Make sure that you connect the right and left correctly with each other.

Connecting the tuner / radio:

As the name suggests, the tuner is connected to the tuner inputs on the amplifier. Since there are only 2 cinch sockets on the tuner (regardless of whether it's a Braun T1 or T2), you can't go wrong here.

So that the tuner can receive a radio signal, I recommend an FM antenna with an amplifier or a high-quality antenna cable if you have an antenna connection at home. You can find both here in my shop.

Connections on the amplifier:

Now connect the speakers to the appropriate terminals on the amplifier. Red = positive pole of the speakers, black = ground / negative. Usually one core of the speaker cable is marked (either ribbed or provided with a colored stripe). I always use this marked wire for the positive pole / the red terminal.

With the Braun amplifiers A1 and A2, the connections for the left loudspeaker are at the top and for the right loudspeaker at the bottom. Make sure that the cables do not touch each other. And only connect one loudspeaker per terminal. Also connect the speakers of a pair to speaker 1; if you use a second pair of loudspeakers, then this one on pair 2. So please do NOT, for example, put one (left) loudspeaker on pair 1 and the other (right) loudspeaker of a loudspeaker pair on pair 2.

On the amplifier A1 or A2 you should then press the switch for the corresponding pair of loudspeakers behind the flap (usually pair 1).

Turntable connection:

The turntable cables are permanently attached to the Braun turntables P1, P2, P3 and P4. Again, red is for the right channel and black is for the left channel.

These cables connect to the A1's phono input.

The A1 has 2 phono inputs: both are designed for MM systems. It is therefore up to you whether you connect the turntable to phono 1 or phono 2.

There are 2 different versions of the Braun A2:

the first version of the A2 (also called A2/1) has a phono MM and a phono MC input. Turntables with the MM system are connected to the Phono MM input - in other words, in the Braun world, the Braun turntables P1, P2, P3 and P4M.

The P4 with MC2E system is connected to the Phono MC input (recognizable by the lettering "Braun" on the headshell / above the pickup needle).

If you have a Braun A2/2, then it only has one phono input. You then switch between Phono MM and MC via the switch on the back. So simply set the switch according to your pickup system.

The connection cable of the turntable also has a "ground cable", i.e. a simple small cable without a cinch plug. This must be connected to the ground terminal of the amplifier. This is located on the far left of the amplifier, next to the phono input and is marked "ground".

When you have completed all points, you have optimally wired your Braun A1 or A2 stereo system.

Now you can turn on the devices and test them.

Often there is now chaos behind the flaps "lack of space" and cables. That's why we have developed an extra short cinch cable set that fits perfectly with your Braun Atelier system. You can purchase this here.

We hope you enjoy listening to music with your Braun Atelier system.
