Quote from the Braun brochure of the time:

"The quality of our building blocks starts with the materials we use to make them. The CD4 has a housing made of thick aluminum sheet, its drive is made of die-cast aluminum and embedded in a special sub-chassis suspension. This allows the laser to work quietly even when the case is shaken. What the Laser reads from the CD only gains acoustic quality in the filters. The perfect harmony of the analog and digital filters in the CD4 ensures a smooth progression of the frequencies and thus an absolutely natural, uncolored reproduction.
The CD4 allows you to program 16 tracks in any order. It has fast forward and rewind in two speeds.
The CD4 only becomes really comfortable with the title/index jump in both directions as well as the continuous repetition of a CD, a title, a CD section or a program sequence."

Visual condition:

Very good condition with normal signs of use such as light scratches and quirks of the years.

Perfect condition. The device was overhauled in our workshop.

The following work was done:

•     Laser cleaned
•     Drive oiled and adjusted
•     Belt renewed
•     All functions checked
•     Test run performed
