Braun described this device in its brochures as follows:

"Direct-drive turntable with "ULM" tonearm and sub-chassis.
The elaborate sub-chassis design makes the P2 insensitive to acoustic feedback caused by the high dynamics of digitally edited recordings. The high-quality magnet system with elliptical stylus (Ortofon mag 2-E) is integrated into the extremely lightweight tonearm and tuned to it for low resonance. The resulting low effective tonearm mass guarantees excellent scanning properties ("Ultra Low Mass" technology). All operating elements are located on the front, outside the hood. The speed is controlled via a stroboscope display with LED lighting. At the end of the record, the tonearm automatically returns to its rest position. A mute function is active during the swivel movement."

Optical condition:

The case is clean and in good condition, with slight signs of wear on the controls. Overall, the device looks very good and only shows the usual signs of use (light scratches and or quirks) on the casing, which are typical for its age. The acrylic cover has slight scratches and or marks. Slight yellowing may be visible due to sunlight.
