While playing your records and even while storing records, air pollution from outside (car exhaust, dust) and even from inside (cigarette smoke, cooking fumes) causes a tough film to form on your records. This film is difficult to clean and cannot be removed with a record brush alone. During playback, the stylus will scrape off some of the residue that accumulates around the tip of the stylus, causing distortion during playback or even jumping out of the groove. To avoid this, you should clean your records thoroughly at least once a year. This can be done with a record washing machine.

There are many models on the market, but the most affordable and yet very efficient model is the TonarKnosti Disco Antistat. By washing your records with this machine, you can not only remove the dirt already mentioned, but also the remnants of the former Lenco Clean liquid that was used in the past to play records 'wet'. This liquid left a crystallized residue in the groove that was almost impossible to remove, so that the records could only be played “wet” afterwards, but now the Tonar Disco Antistat also does an excellent job of removing these crystals. At the same time, the TonarKnosti Fluid reduces the static charge on the records.

Suitable for all sizes of records with diameters of 7 inches, 10 inches and 12 inches. Caution! Never use TonarKnosti Fluid or Tonar QS fluid to clean 78 RPM shellac records. The alcohol used in our fluids can permanently damage or destroy shellac.
