Quote from the Braun brochure from back then:
"To make the atelier system remote controllable and at the same time more resilient, we have developed the CC4 tuner preamplifier and the PA4 power amplifier. The CC4 makes your atelier system remote-controllable, and if you use it on its own, you can even connect active speakers or any power amplifier. The CC4 has the same features as the R4: it is a control center with a built-in preamplifier that you can use to operate the atelier system remotely. At the same time, it is an excellent broadcasting device with automatic station search, which works in 50 kHz steps. However, many private stations - in future even more than today - will be on the 25 KHz intervals. CC4 and R4 receive them just as well as all other stations, thanks to manual fine tuning. And one more thing: Unfortunately, weak stations tend to generate noise. R4 and CC4 have a high-blend button for this. The interference disappears, and if you program in one of these transmitters, CC4 and R4 save the high fade at the same time. The only difference to the R4 can be found on the back of the CC4. Instead of four outputs for loudspeakers, there are four pre-out sockets. You can connect the CC4 to up to two power amplifiers or your active loudspeakers."

Optical condition:

The case is clean and in good condition, with slight signs of wear. The display is clear and without scratches. Overall, the preamp looks good and only shows the usual signs of wear on the casing that are typical for its age.

Technical condition:

The device has been thoroughly inspected and all necessary repairs have been carried out to ensure it is in perfect working order. Defective parts have been replaced where necessary and the appliance has been cleaned to ensure optimum performance. We have also carried out all necessary maintenance to ensure the appliance remains reliable in the long term.

•     Ground screws checked and tightened
•     Power supply unit repaired
•     Defective capacitors in power supply unit and processor module replaced

•     Endurance test run carried out
