The system consists of the following components:

P4 turntable

The P4 is the sophisticated result of years of experience in turntable development:

A fully automatic unit, optionally equipped with a moving-coil cartridge or a moving-magnet system (P4 M). The most important feature is its electrically driven tonearm, which can be moved via the rocker switch. By lightly tapping slowly, later quickly. So you can find your favorite spot on the record without touching the tonearm Almost all functions of the P4 are controlled by a microprocessor and can be operated even when the hood is closed.

PA4/2 power amplifier

The PA4/2 is the ideal complement to the Control Center CC 4 and can also be remote controlled via it.
Strictly speaking, the PA4/2 is a power amplifier. This says what distinguishes it: its extraordinary output power namely. When the preamplifier and power amplifier are separated, you can give a system greater power. This is how the CC4 and the PA4/2 were born. The PA4/2 has 2 x 230 watts of music power and effortlessly drives two pairs of speakers, which you can switch on or off using our RC1 remote control. To avoid distortion at high volume, Braun engineers used high quality, high speed transistors and low loss capacitors per channel. Several electronic protection circuits protect our power amplifiers from all conceivable influences: Overloading of the power stages as well as overheating, accidental wrong connection and so on. The PA4/2 is a powerful power amplifier that behaves neutrally even at high volumes and impresses with its high musicality. You can also use it as a mono power amplifier and expand your system with two PA4/2 to 2 x 450 watts of music power.

CC4/2 preamplifier

To make the atelier system remote controllable and at the same time more powerful, we developed the tuner preamplifier CC4 and the power amplifier PA4. Via the CC4 your atelier system becomes remote controllable, and if you operate it alone, you can even connect active speakers or any power amplifier.
The CC4 has the same facilities as the R4: it is control center with built-in preamplifier, through which you remotely control the atelier system. And at the same time it is an excellent broadcasting device with automatic station search, which works in 50 kHz steps. But many private stations - in the future even more than today - are on the 25 KHz intervals. CC4 and R4 receive them as well as any other station, by manual fine tuning. And one more thing: Unfortunately, weakly incident stations tend to be noisy. For this, R4 and CC4 have a high-blend button. The noise disappears, and when you program one of these stations, CC4 and R4 store the high blend at the same time. The only difference to the R4 can be found on the back of the CC4. Instead of four outputs for speakers, there are four pre-out jacks. There you connect the CC4 with up to two power amplifiers or your active loudspeakers.

C4 Cassette Deck

3-button cassette deck with 2 speeds and single capstan direct drive. The C4 has three audio heads, two are combined into a dual head. It automatically switches to rear tape during playback, and during recording you can use the monitor function to hear exactly what is coming onto the tape. The C4 is factory calibrated to three different tape types. But you can also do this yourself via the calibration facility, the C4 stores the values of your preferred tape brand. Our developers have also thought ahead when it comes to noise reduction and have built a connection for external systems into the back of the C4.

CD5 CD player

    Equipment and special features:

•             Stereo laser CD player with front panel control and motorized disc carriage for compact disc playback.
•             4-digit seven-segment display for playing time, 2-digit seven-segment display to indicate the selected title/index. Light emitting diode and word indicators for operating states.
•             Title/index skip forward/backward, fast forward and rewind with two speeds.
•             Fold-out control panel for special functions. Playback programs from up to 30 tracks of a CD in any order.
• 255 CD programs, non-volatile memory. Automatic recall of CD programs after CD insertion and display in the program display.
•             Analog and digital section with separate power supply. D/A interface separated by sono and opto couplers. Muting at zero crossing of the audio signal. Digital audio and subcode output.
•             Remote controllable by remote control RC1. Headphone output with assigned volume control.
•             Switchable auto start function for timer operation with suitable control unit or external timer.
•             Drive with torsion-resistant die-cast aluminum frame. Vibration-dependent controlled servo amplification.
•             Unit with sheet steel chassis and plastic side panels, front panel and rear cover plate made of aluminum profiles.
•             Autostart function
