T&A HiFi CD1200R CD player in white:
T&A describes its products in their brochures like this:
"The CD 1200 R is the smallest CD player model in the T+A range. As in the other CD players, a freely programmable sigan processor (DSP) is used. A DSP can process digital signals at will; therefore, better oversampling is achieved than would be possible with conventional standard chips. Previous oversampling filters are trimmed to the smoothest possible frequency response without consideration of the time domain behavior (transient response). Here one accepts long pre- and post oscillations, which can strongly deform the musical events, especially impulses. In the CD 1200 R a certain class of these filters is used. The filter does not produce pre-echoes. The human ear is particularly sensitive to pre-echoes, since they do not occur in nature and are not masked by the main signal. In addition, the filter also has a smooth frequency response, d.er is significantly better than other polynomial filters."
