"The TAL 90 is a classic compact two-way monitor that sets new standards with its revolutionary lineup. It has an unheard of bass range. Not only the depth and precision, but also the absolute level are unique in an enclosure of this size. This bass is achieved by a cabinet design with phase equalization channel and absorber and a superior woofer chassis. Its basket is made of high-strength die-cast aluminum with narrow ribs and great depth to allow extreme diaphragm excursions.

The resonance-coated aluminum diaphragm is very stiff and torsion-resistant, while ideally suited for reproduction of the entire midrange. The powerful magnet drives a 35 mm voice coil with a large immersion depth. A precisely calculated phase plug optimized for the diaphragm ensures a linear smooth frequency response well beyond the crossover frequency. As tweeter we use a newly developed ring radiator with revolutionary characteristics. Its transmission range extends up to over 50,000 Hz, while its natural resonance is below 500 Hz. This allows unimagined advantages in the construction of two-way speakers. The crossover frequency can be placed in the most favorable range of the bass-midrange driver without it starting to bunch up. We use the ring radiator from 2000 Hz. and thus achieve a spatiality, dynamics and transparency of the reproduction, which has not been achieved by such speakers so far. The low frequency range is adjustable as in the larger models, as is the tweeter."

Visual Condition:

Generally good condition, with slight visible signs of use over the years. There are several light scratches on the speakers in places.
