"The X 1 is the further development of the TAL 90 into a full-blown floorstanding speaker. While the TAL 90 embodies the concept of the compact two-way loudspeaker par excellence, the TAL X 1 achieves for the first time the feat of combining the tonal and spatial characteristics of compact two-way loudspeakers with the
characteristics of compact two-way loudspeakers with the bass foundation and bass dynamics of full-size floorstanding speakers. As in the TAL 90, the new super-tweeter ring radiator and the 17 cm aluminum
die-cast aluminum bass-midrange driver with metal cone and phase plug are used in a two-way circuit. This means that the outstanding characteristics of the TAL 90 are also transferred to the X 1. In addition, a second 17 cm chassis is used, which however only transmits the low frequencies
and works in parallel with the bass-midrange driver on the elaborate transmission line cabinet. As a result, we not only achieve the typical enormous dynamics and precision of our Transmission Absorber Lines in the low frequency range, but also a very low lower cut-off frequency.
