Tonar QS Turntable Oil

QS-Tonar Turntable Oil (TTO) is designed to lubricate the bearings of turntables. The turntable oil has very low friction and it creates an extremely strong film lubrication, which greatly reduces bearing wear and noise. Applying the oil every two years extends the life of a turntable and promotes consistent speed.

Until now, there has been no lubricating oil developed specifically for turntable bearings. From an economic standpoint, this is understandable. The potential volume turnover is extremely low. Existing lubricating oils, however, only fulfill the lubrication requirements to a certain degree in order to function very well. Tonar Audio Turntable Oil is the first and last product developed and manufactured on a laboratory scale for this application.

What is so special about a lubricant in a turntable bearing?
When the record is played, there is a mechanical connection/contact between the needle and the bearing! The signal from an MC pickup is amplified about 2000 times. So any noise that occurs in the bearing is amplified many times over!

Why is this oil so good?
This oil has extremely low friction due to a very effective friction modification system that prevents the contact of the construction materials in the bearing. Thus, the oil will greatly calm the bearing.
