Quote from the Braun brochure from back then:
"The CD 2 is the simplest of the Braun CD players. Simple means convenient, but it has all the equipment and processing features that characterize our CD players. With the CD 2, this applies in particular to signal processing and sound quality. In a width corresponding to a normal record groove, a CD contains around 60 tracks. The laser must therefore be able to work extremely accurately and undisturbed. The atelier CD players are equipped with a microprocessor that immediately recognizes and corrects vibrations and record errors.

If the CD cannot be played at all, the slider automatically retracts. The CD 2 is very easy to operate and program (20 tracks in any order). And thanks to a countdown circuit, you can start each track precisely. The CD 2 can also repeat the entire CD, individual tracks or a program sequence as often as you like. The remaining time display tells you how long the CD, a track or a program is still playing. If a CD is inserted in the CD 2 and you switch it on using the power switch or timer, it will start playing automatically."

Optical condition:

The casing is clean and in good condition, with slight signs of wear on the controls. The display is clear and without scratches. Overall, the player looks good and only shows the usual signs of use (light scratches and or marks) on the casing, which are typical for its age.

The pictures in the gallery serve as a visual representation of the device and should give you an impression of its condition. You will receive a device which is in a similar condition to the one shown. Please note, however, that there may be slight variations due to individual signs of use.

Technical condition:

The appliance has been thoroughly checked and all necessary repairs have been carried out to ensure that it is in perfect working order. Defective parts have been replaced where necessary and the appliance has been cleaned to ensure optimum performance. We also carried out all necessary maintenance to ensure that the appliance remains reliable in the long term.

Among other things, the following work was carried out:

•         The slider belt was replaced
•         The laser was cleaned
•         The mechanics of the laser and drawer were cleaned and oiled
•         Test run carried out
