Quote from the Braun brochure from back then:
"Thanks to its quartz-controlled direct drive, the C3 achieves synchronization values that were previously reserved for large reel devices. Separate recording and playback sound head systems for rear tape control. Dolby NR "B" and "C" also separate for recording and playback (monitor mode and "back to back" during playback). For particularly high-quality recordings, the C3 also works with double tape speed ().5 cm/s). The Memory + Repeat functions are possible via the 4-digit electric tape length counter. Autospace and Musicfinder simplify operation. The functions selected using the buttons in the slider are shown on the illuminated display on the front. Timer operation is possible with an external timer. The C3 can be remote-controlled by future control units via its own data bus."

Optical condition:

The housing is clean and in good condition, with slight signs of wear on the controls. The display is clear and without scratches. Overall, the device looks very good and shows only the usual signs of use (light scratches and or quirks) on the casing that are typical for its age.

Technical condition:

The appliance has been thoroughly checked and all necessary repairs have been carried out to ensure that it is in perfect working order. Defective parts have been replaced where necessary and the appliance has been cleaned to ensure optimum performance. We also carried out all necessary maintenance to ensure that the appliance remains reliable in the long term.

The following work was carried out, among others:

•     Sound head cleaned and demagnetized
•     Relay replaced
