Quote from the Braun brochure from that time:

High power amplifier based on the "rail-switching" principle with 2 x 120/180 watts. The A2 amplifier was specially designed to reproduce the musical dynamics of digital technology in a way that is true to the pulse and accurate in level. It effortlessly produces music peaks of over 180 watts per channel. This enormous dynamic is made possible by a novel switching technology: the level-controlled switching on of the output stages ("rail-switching-a lifier"), which ensures high efficiency (low heat generation). A special feature is the relay-controlled adjustment of the speaker outputs, which allows such operation of up to 4 speakers.

Optical condition:

Generally good condition, with normal signs of use over the years. On the top side there are a bit stronger traces of use.

Technical condition:

The device works perfectly. It was overhauled in our workshop.

The following things were done in our workshop:

•     Device checked and error analyzed
•     Checked for defective solder joints and repaired them
•     Contacts cleaned
•     Quiescent current setting checked, adjusted and repaired
•     Loudspeaker relay replaced
•     Test run performed
